Set to take place on December 28th, the 2024 Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl, presented by Gin and Juice by Dre and Snoop, will feature Miami (OH) from the Mid-American Conference and Colorado State from the Mountain West.

Get to know MIAMI (OH).

Making it to the MAC Championship, the Red Hawks fell just short of victory, losing to Ohio 38-3 on Saturday night. Though the Red Hawks fell short of a conference title, they finished with eight wins on the season under head coach Chuck Martin.

Miami (OH) has never been to the Arizona Bowl but has been to a bowl game in the last four seasons, making the fifth year of bowl eligibility the longest stretch in school history. However, they’ve only won one game in those four appearances, with a lone win coming in 2021 in a 27-14 victory over North Texas in the Frisco Football Classic.

The Red Hawks are led by All-Mac first-team senior quarterback Brett Gabbert, who finished the year with 2,737 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

As one of four bowl-eligible teams in the MWC, the Rams achieved an 8-4 record this season under head coach Jay Norvell.

This will be CSU’s second trip to the Arizona Bowl. Their last appearance came in the bowl’s inaugural year when it was forced to play an inner conference matchup against Nevada in 2015.

Offensively, the Rams are anchored by sophomore quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, who threw for 2,475 yards, 13 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Defensively, CSU has one of four players who recorded at least 100 tackles this season in the MWC in sophomore linebacker Buom Jock, who was also named to the All-MWC second-team.

The Arizona Bowl will also be a homecoming for several CSU players, including senior defensive back Jack Howell (Hamilton), Sierra Linda alum redshirt freshman wide receiver Stephon Daily (Sierra Linda), and freshman defensive lineman Keegan Shank (Chaparral).
