Seliga's Awards: All-state basketball teams, players announced

After three-and-a-half grueling months, the high school basketball season officially ended on March 8, when the last four Arizona state champions were crowned at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
This season saw it all. Multiple nationally ranked teams on both the girls and boys side of things, a McDonald’s All-American selection, superstars battling injuries and upsets abound.
However, in the end, the top boys team and top girls team in the state were the two teams expected to be there at the beginning of the year, with the two best players in the state.
Perry won its fourth straight state championship behind Koa Peat, who battled through the final two rounds with a broken hand he suffered prior to the quarterfinals.
Millennium rolled to its fifth state championship in school history behind Destiny Lunan, who single-handedly outscored Valley Vista in the championship game 37-31.
With champions crowned, it’s time to officially put a bow on the season with the final rankings of the year as well as my personal awards and all-state teams.
Players and Teams eligible for these lists are in the big school conferences (4A, 5A, 6A).
Transfers are not eligible for first team all-state selections.
